POISON OAK, Tropical Low, Home Improvement & Alchemunk!

Townsville indie-punk rockers Poison Oak are celebrating the release of their new album with a run of album launch shows across North Queensland.

Following a string of singles including ‘Tell Me’, ‘Melt’ and ‘Laser Love’, Poison Oak are ready to bring their new record to the stage.

Formed in Townsville in 2019, the four-piece have built a reputation for their energetic live shows and infectious blend of indie rock, punk and power-pop. The band have shared stages with Tones and I, DZ Deathrays and Slowly Slowly, while earning airplay and coverage across Australia and internationally.

The new album continues Poison Oak’s trademark mix of big guitars, catchy melodies, punk energy, humour and nostalgia, while showcasing the band's evolution over several years of writing and recording.

The album was produced by Brock Weston, whose credits include Beddy Rays, Bugs and Dune Rats.

Now, after years of work, Poison Oak are bringing the album home — and they want to celebrate it the way they know best: loud and live.
